The Retreat

Our formula is simple. We follow three basic tenets and the keyword here is “integration”, to attain a balance of mind, body and spirit.

I. Deep Relaxation. Our training focuses on the body, the mind, and the emotions to counter many symptoms of stress.

II. Flexibility. The Asanas (postures) are key component to preventing and alleviating muscular tension.

III. Mindful Breathing. The breathing exercise is integrated with the Asanas (postures) which helps counter shortness of breath associated with stress and to achieve a sense of calmness and emotional stability.

The formula is integrated with Yoga meditation to enhance heightened awareness, enhance clarity of mind, and improve the ability to cope with stress.

This unique retreat integrating Meditation, Yoga, and Pilates is not offered anywhere else. It is a comprehensive program and focused approach to wellbeing, building a healthy and balance program for strength, flexibility, and relaxation. Each of the disciplines is integrated to give you a completely holistic approach to a renewed energized body, a quiet mind, a happy and peaceful soul, and to experience a new enthusiasm for life.

The Peace Offering Ceremony, A Daily Practice of Aligning with your Energy Chakras

We are here to experience abundance and prosperity, vibrant health, happiness, love, and harmonious relationships. We begin our day with our Peace Offering to align the Chakras (energy centers or life force) of our body.  Chakras are believed to be the centers of activity that receives, absorbs, and expresses life force energy and they govern bodily functions.

This retreat offering will charge the body with positive energy and raise the energy levels in the body to promote harmony and peace. The question is, how do we attain harmony and peace? The answer must be, each one of us must carry harmony and peace within us. Our retreat and the 3 basic tenets of the program will infuse in your mind and teach you that all this is possible.

The Retreat and Practice

Our instructors will teach you the exercises and movements to help balance and harmonize the flow of energy within the body through Meditation, Yoga, and Pilates.

MEDITATION

Meditation is a misunderstood topic in the West. We associate meditation with certain religious paths or ritual. We believe that we can learn to meditate.  Rather it is a state that follows after regular practice of mental focus or concentration.  It is really a natural state of mind.  During meditation our mind is lured to the deepest level, a natural state that is calm quiet yet fully alert and awake. Meditation enlivens our field of consciousness tapping into our fullest potentiality.  It is a state of the mind that is at its most powerful state where all the laws of nature originates,

The meditation we will practice is an ancient practice used to quiet the mind and work toward greater self knowledge and self- mastery.  It is an effective tool for coping with or rising above the challenges and potentially stressful situations that you may encounter day-to-day.

The meditation as presented in our retreat does not promote any particular religion.

The Benefits of Meditation

Yoga

The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit language and means “to unite” or to “harmonize.”  Our program offers you to work toward a level where the activities of mind and body function together, harmoniously.  Yoga also refers to the union between the individual and something greater, whether it is called God and/or the Divine.  Nevertheless, Yoga does not represent or promote any particular religion; it is a system that aims to help you achieve your full potential and a heightened consciousness. It is a system of personal growth and development which cultivates a sense of contentment and fulfillment. Yoga is timeless, it is good at anytime of the season, anytime of the day, at any age.  There are no barriers to begin the practice of Yoga. Now is the time to integrate an easy program to attain and maintain vibrant health.  Here are some of the benefits of Yoga:

The Eight-Limb Path of Yoga as written and codified by Patanjali, are 1)  Yamas – The Five Moral Restraints, 2) Niyamas -The Five Observances 3) Asana – Postures, 4) Pranayama – Mindful Breathing, 5) Pratyahara – Turning Inward, 6) Dharana, Concentration, 7) Dyana- Meditation, and 8) Samadhi – Union of the Self with Object of Meditation.

We will focus on Hatha Yoga and the last six of the Eight-Limb Path mentioned above.  Hatha Yoga is the most practical of the branches of Yoga and is the best known Yoga in the West.  It is a system of exercises through Asanas (postures), Pranayama (mindful breathing, and relaxation techniques. Asanas are designed to benefit every anatomical structure, system, and organs of our body. Yoga benefits the nervous system, glands, and tones vital organs.  The aim is to promote vibrant health and to tap into the body’s latent energy reserves. Yoga has an integrating and calming influence over the mind. Yoga brings us the concept of balance bringing two sides of the body into a state of balance through the development of equal strength and flexibility on both sides.  Yoga is our home.  We believe Yoga is the living of life, a study of balance, love in action. We believe, Yoga and Pilates, when integrated, produces and work as a pair of discipline enhancing vibrant health, strength, and flexibility to the body and a state of heightened awareness overall.

Our instructors will be able to provide you with exercises, movements, and techniques to easily practice at home tailored for you.

Pilates – Core Awareness

History and Benefits of Pilates

Pilates was designed by Joseph Pilates, a physical-culturist born in Mönchengladbach, Germany in 1883. He developed a system of exercises during the first half of the 20th century which were intended to strengthen the human mind and body. Joseph Pilates believed that mental and physical health is inter-related.

Pilates is a body conditioning program that helps build flexibility and long, lean muscles, strength and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips, and back. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing to relieve stress and allow adequate oxygen flow to muscles, developing a strong core or center (tones abdominals while strengthening the back), and improving coordination and balance. Pilates’ flexible system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advance level of fitness. Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises. No muscle group is under or over trained.

The primary focus of Pilates is an awareness of the spine, proper breathing, core strength and flexibility.  The outcome of Pilates training is a balanced body which is strong and supple, a balance of strength between the front of the body and the back of the body, a healthy spine, balanced legs, flatter abdomen and a stronger “core”, resulting in core awareness.

Our program embodies and embraces the Pilates principle of a balanced body, balanced strength and flexibility. Pilates exercises increase core temperature, stirs and awakens the synovial fluids in our joints, and heightens overall body awareness.  We believe that incorporating Pilates with Yoga allows for a more integrative program. Pilates increase core body temperature and core awareness raising your confidence level as you move from one pose to the next, achieving a more enjoyable Yoga practice.  Though Yoga is a system all on its own, we choose to pair it with the Pilates program offering you to experience the benefits of both disciplines. Pilates is a focused and controlled refreshing and energizing workout followed by Yoga bringing the balanced state of mind, body, and spirit to an unchallenged outcome.  They are both good.

Whether you are an elite athlete, a weekend fitness warrior, an accomplished and advance practitioner of Yoga and you desire a confident intelligent body, this retreat is for you.

Say Yes, I want to invest in my well being, my happiness, vibrant health, and stress free life, in this lifetime, now, today.
